About Us

What is Dasein

Dasein is an open cycle of talks and philosophical conversations on questions of everyday life, human experience, and the contemporary world. It was founded in 2006 by postgraduate students of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and operated actively until 2015 as a space for the free exchange of ideas, reflection, and dialogue.

"The most thought-provoking thing in our thought-provoking time is that we are still not thinking."

— Martin Heidegger

A Return in 2025

In 2025, Dasein returns with the same spirit. It aims to create an environment where people of different experiences, united by a shared interest in philosophy, can meet, think together, and converse meaningfully. Each meeting focuses on a specific theme or question and is grounded in the participation and dialogue of those present.
